Lose to win
Sometimes you have to lose to win.
You lose yourself to find yourself.
You lose self-agency to find joy.
You lose friends to gain soulmates.
You lose unhealthy habits to gain an abundant life.
You lose your idea of love to gain substantial love.
You lose ego to gain your higher self.
You lose your will to gain the Holy Spirit.
You lose your dreams to gain greater visions.
Life ebbs and flows. It’s up and down. Back and forth. A rollercoaster. Life without love is pointless. Life without God is vanity. God is love. Love is God. We keep craving love because we’re distant from God. Seek God and the love you hunger for will fill you up. Love will overflow into every part of your life. Don’t be afraid to lose if it means you’ll gain God. You’ll gain His goodness, His faithfulness, His kindness, His patience, His endurance. His grace, His peace, His LOVE. You’ll find love everywhere if you open your heart and allow yourself to see. You’ll find God everywhere if you look deep enough. You were created in his image. You were created to look like love. You were created to be love. Allow yourself to love. Allow yourself to be all that you were created to be. Don’t stifle God’s love for you. Don’t stifle your love for Him by refusing to lose— by refusing to sacrifice the things He’s asking you for. Love requires faithfulness. Love requires FAITHFULNESS. Be faithful to what He has given you; be obedient and do what He is asking you.
God is love. Love is euphoric. Love is good. Love helps us grow. Love shows us ourselves. Pure love helps us to develop into our higher selves.
Love is. Love is forever present. Love is the past, present, and future. That’s why you can love someone outside of the confines of time. Love is limitless—boundless. It cannot be contained. It just is.
We all want to grasp it, to keep it, to hold onto it. But love REQUIRES. Love requires sacrifice. Love requires us to give up our will. We would gain so much if we understood that in order to win, we have to lose.
God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him. God is love, and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. 1 John 4:16
